Hi, I’m Patricia, but you can call me Patches. I’m the founder and host of the Morbidly Curious Book Club. Welcome!

I started MCBC in late 2021 with just ten members who, like me, were eager to talk about nonfiction in a space where recommendations can be hard to find, especially the darker, more morbid ones. What began as a small group quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, we’re a global community of over 17,000 members, with more than 50 local chapters and counting.

The Morbidly Curious Book Club is more than a book club. It’s a monthly book box subscription, a podcast, and a community built around curiosity and thoughtful conversation. If you’re fascinated by death, plagues, cults, witches, science, or history, you’re absolutely in the right place.
